ISoP New England Leadership Call for Nominations/Volunteers

In 2019, the New England group of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoPNE) held several technical meetings from hosting Peter Bonate’s highly regarded communications seminar to a full-day workshop on integrated Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology (jointly with the QSP SIG). In addition, we started a monthly happy hour that provides a casual place to network. We are recognized as a very active and successful local group and are a model that other regions are following.

Beginning in February 2020, Andy Zhu will assume the role of Chair. To fill the Chair-elect position, we are seeking energetic, engaged members of the local pharmacometrics community to help lead the ISoPNE going forward. The new Chair-elect will join the ISoPNE leadership at the end of February 2020 and will become Chair in February 2021.

Requirements

  • Be a pharmacometrician (of some sort, we are open minded!)
  • Member in good standing of ISoP
  • Working in or able to travel to the Boston/Cambridge area for group meetings, social and technical events.

No later than 14 Feburary 2020 , if you wish to be considered for Chair-Elect, please send your name, current position, and a short (<200 words) personal statement describing your motivation and goals for ISoPNE to isopne@gmail.com

An election ballot link will be sent out to local members on February 15.

The ballot will be held open for ten (10) days.

Questions? Please direct them to Chris Penland (chris.penland@astrazeneca.com).

Is there another way to help? ** YES! **

Communications lead: this role is a volunteer who helps manage the group communications (email lists, LinkedIn, interaction with ISoP for event registration, etc.) Please declare your interest in this role by 28 Feb 2020.

Volunteer committee: Over the past year, we have received several offers from members willing to volunteer their time to organize and support events. Some have been called on to make our events successful. The new leadership will be refreshing this list of volunteers who they can call on for support throughout the year. Past officers and advisors can remain involved to offer their support.

If you would like to volunteer, please send an email to isopne@gmail.com

Regards,

2019 ISoP New England
