PAGE2016: First Announcement

Dear member of the PAGE community,

Preliminary information regarding next year’s PAGE meeting in Lisbon, Portugal to be held from 7-10 June 2016, is now online at www.page-meeting.org.

Registration will start on Monday, 11 January 2016 at 10:00 in the morning, Portugal time (GMT+1). Enrolment and payment of the registration fee must be done through the PAGE website (www.page-meeting.org) by credit card only (MasterCard, Maestro, Visa and American Express). Please note that the registration fee is not refundable, not even in the extremely unlikely event of cancellation of the meeting due to force majeure, and needs to be paid within 2 weeks of registration at the PAGE website or you will unfortunately be put on a waiting list. Replacements or substitutions will be accepted at any time.
In contrast to previous years, the abstract submission deadline is the same for all abstracts (Lewis Sheiner Student Session abstracts, oral session abstracts, and poster abstracts) and there will be no option for late submissions for any of the abstracts. The reason is that the PAGE organising committee intends to improve the quality of all abstracts, and we need sufficient time to review them. In particular, abstracts without results will be rejected, and statements such as “…will be shown…”, or “…will be available at the time of the conference…” are not acceptable.
Students wishing to qualify for the student registration fee will need to upload, at the time of registration, a scanned copy of a signed letter of support from their supervisor indicating that they will be full time students in an MSc or PhD programme at the time of the PAGE meeting (and not otherwise employed), and a scan of their current student card, so prepare this documentation in advance!
In view of planned oral sessions, we would like you to consider submitting an abstract in the category “Immune Response to Drug Treatment” or “Growth modelling”.
We are looking forward to another great meeting!

Kind regards,

Rik Schoemaker
On behalf of the PAGE organising committee
